Dear Colt Families, 

It is with great excitement, humility, and pride that I welcome you to the 2026–2027 school year at Covina High School.

I am honored to begin this year serving as the Interim Principal of Covina High School.  As I head into my sixteenth year in the Covina-Valley Unified School District, with the last five years right here at Colt Nation as an Assistant Principal, I could not be more excited for what lies ahead.

As we begin this new year, my goal is simple: to help provide our students with the very best experience possible at the very best high school.  That means creating a school environment where students feel connected, supported, challenged, and proud to be Colts.  Strong schools do not happen by accident.  They are built through clear expectations, consistent communication, thoughtful planning, meaningful support, and a shared commitment to doing what is best for students.

This year, we will continue to focus on building a positive school culture that encourages student involvement.  Whether through academics, athletics, activities, the arts, CTE pathways, dual enrollment, student leadership, or our many support programs, we want every student to find their place at Covina High School.  Every Colt deserves to feel connected to this campus and confident about their future.

To our students: I hope you enter this year ready to work hard, get involved, take chances, and make the most of every opportunity in front of you.  This is your school, and your experience here matters.

To our families: thank you for trusting us with your students.  We value your partnership and look forward to working together to support their success.

I could not be more excited for the year ahead.  I am proud to serve this community, proud to be part of Colt Nation, and ready to work alongside all of you to make the 2026–2027 school year one of our best yet.
